Our team of communication professionals – with qualifications in journalism, marketing, editing, communications, and landscape architecture – is based in West Melbourne, but our reach is national.
Prior to founding VCC in 2014, Verity studied landscape architecture, worked at Australia’s largest publishing house (Lonely Planet), consulted for their guidebook redesign, authored numerous travel guidebooks (Istanbul, Turkey, Sri Lanka...), and was managing editor of Sanctuary: modern green homes, building the magazine up to win Treehuggers’ 2010 Best Shelter Magazine Award as "the best green shelter magazine available anywhere".
Verity channels her natural drive into empowering and advising clients, bringing their practice vision to life, building their profile, and sharing her industry expertise. She was involved in progressing gender parity action through AILA and delivers Continuing Professional Development (CPD), such as the Future of Architecture in the Media (ArchiTeam, 2018) and Presenting & Negotiating (Australian Institute of Architects, 2018).

Having cut her communications teeth in print journalism (The Age) and broadcast news and current affairs production (ABC TV), Jo has always had a nose for newsworthiness. But it was her desire to be more proactive in the face of the macropolitical tumult of the early 2000s that set her career on a different trajectory. Since that time, Jo has made it her mission to support businesses and organisations whose goal is to improve the lives of others.
Jo balances big picture thinking with detailed analysis in a holistic approach to brand and business strategy and communications. By first considering a client's core values and key strengths, she empowers them to communicate their unique value proposition from a place of authenticity. From experience, Jo knows these messages are the ones that stick with target audiences, and build stronger, happier teams as a result.

India combines qualifications in creative writing, editing and communications with over a decade of marketing communications experience for some of Australia’s largest architecture and design practices. From bids and tenders to branding and business operations, she understands the unique challenges that come with running a successful design practice. These days, India uses her insider-knowledge to help clients forge their own path.
Known for her telling-it-how-it-is approach that business owners value, she’ll let you know how your business is viewed by prospective clients, and where you could do better at giving them what they’re after. India is as passionate about the value and benefits of good design as she is about the importance of placing strategic marketing and communications at the heart of a business, not as an afterthought.

Celeste is a design-focused marketer specialising in digital strategy, storytelling and social media. With 6 years of consulting experience across fashion, technology and architecture, Celeste contributes her innate understanding of the importance of brand, and its application to communications to the VCC team. A real people-person, Celeste easily builds positive and genuine relationships that eventuate in successful client outcomes and experiences.
Celeste is a planner by nature and focuses on the abilities of traditional and digital media in tandem with the ever-increasing client need for agility when conceptualising and executing marketing strategies. Celeste is also accomplished at building digital channels and social media accounts from the ground up; creating specific marketing strategies to ensure content delivers quality engagement, not just quantity followers.
