“Every year it seems to get harder to get traction, harder to find work and keep it ticking along, and even harder to maintain rewarding practices in a culture that seems to expect high value architecture without investing in the work it takes to create it.” ArchiTeam
We’re getting behind our friends at ArchiTeam for their groundbreaking crowdfunding campaign, Research for Architects in Small Practice (RAsP).
The architects’ cooperative, supported by the Melbourne School of Design, is attempting to quantify the value small practice architects bring to property improvement in the Melbourne residential property market.
The campaign successfully reached its target of $22820. This research piece will be the first of many investigations ArchiTeam will lead to assess the value of architecture.
"We sorely need research into small architectural practice to understand, if anything, ourselves better. Only by doing so, can we improve, be our best and give our best to our clients and the community".
